Last Wednesday, my wife and I had the congenital scan for our baby and we learned that we’re having a son! We never had a preference between the genders since just having a baby was already awesome enough and there are wonders with both genders. But my wife, my mom, and a few other friends and family had dreams that we’d be having a son.
Now that I know it’s a boy my mind is swirling with possibilities! (Like hopefully he’ll like UFC also so together we can convince his mom to watch.)
We really appreciate the support and warm greetings people have given us online and in person. We were also touched and a little amused by the responses to the name we want to give our boy. We liked the name Philip because we both respect the Bible characters with that name, as a reference to Philippines, and because we both find the name interesting. (Carla also has an older brother named Philip.)
I sent out this message regarding the new name and the responses have been varied.

There were the mostly men (but a few awesome women!) who supported the Leonidas idea or contributed ideas of their own!

There are also jokers with their hilarious suggestions.

My small group responded entirely with stickers from LINE.

And of course, the kind words and support that everyone responded with.

In short, thank you for all of you who have wished us well, prayed for us, and showed support for us during this season. As of now, the second name of our son is still in limbo. Maybe next week, we’ll have a definite name for Philip _______ Peralejo Bonifacio.
Nathan “God has given”….Philip Nathan Peralejo Bonifacio…. 🙂
Congratulations!
Congratulations Ptr. Joe and Ms. Carla! 🙂
I think Leonidas is such a cool name. 😀
I’d suggest cutting it to “Leon” tho 😉
